About Me
I'm a 4th year Astronomy Ph.D. candidate at Cornell University where I study surface processes on Jupiter's moon Europa and Saturn's moon Titan. I'm particularly interested in using satellite observations and numerical models to understand tectonics, geomorphology, and geophysics of icy satellites. I'm also a graduate affiliate for NASA's Europa Clipper mission and a Graduate Associate for NASA's Dragonfly mission. I'm also passionate about and science communication. I have a minor in graphics communication and a background in art, thus I work hard to ensure that I am always using the best practices for conveying complex information in an inclusive, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing manner.
Outside of science, I am an artist who creates pointillism paintings of planets and moons across the solar system. I find that my background in geologic mapping has helped me refine my art as I can bring out minor details in a planetary surface and make them the focus of a piece. I have been creating pointillism paintings for almost a decade and my paintings have been displayed in coffee shops, galleries, and markets around upstate New York.
